In a previous blog post, I talked about the importance of developing a prospecting list, the first step in identifying potential prospects and future leaders that will grow your business. By creating this list, you will be able to not only identify individuals who might interested in an alternative way to bring in income, but also people who might be interested in buying your products or services.
BTW, if you want to get a leg up on this process, check out my series “You Can Win.”
So, how do you begin to identify those individuals on your list? Well, I first start by using a three-point checklist to qualify potential prospects who will grow my business. When you review your list, look for the following types of individuals:
- People with intense desire. These are people who usually work overtime in their jobs and talk about their goals and dreams and are open to new ways of achieving these goals.
- People who like to work with others or “people-persons”. These individuals tend to be nurses, directors, committee leaders and other people who feel at ease interacting with others.
- Individuals with a strong center of influence. These people tend to be in key positions of authority in the community or an organization, and by identifying them, you will be able to attract others like them.
Next week we’re going to explore how to rate the individuals on your list. This simple technique will help you to recruit up and more easily grow your business.
